Sequoia National Park was first established in 1890 in California. Soon after, Kings Cayon Park merged with Sequoia. The park holds over 300 different species of wild animals including Black bears, gray fox, acorn woodpecker, wood rat, and California king snake.

Some activities in the park include: snowshoeing, cross country skiing, horse back riding, and hiking. Other activites to do in the park include visiting the Moro Rock which is a dome created by exfoliation. You can also visit the Crystal Cave where tours are given.
Another crowd favorite of the park is the Giant Log Tunnel in the entrance of the park. It's made out of a whole tree!
Log TunnelThe animals get so close in this park that visitors are required to have proper food storage. The food cannot be in plastic bags from the grocery store or in coolers because the bears can tell that that is a food source and will try to grab it from you. These bears are wild, so remember to be careful!
